Photographer’s Note

Monsaraz is a small walled group of dwellings that carefully preserve most of their original charm by retaining the old exteriors and the original quaint slated streets.

The inhabitants of the town take particular pride in maintaining its somewhat medieval atmosphere with its few narrow streets that are in parts are quite steep as they fall away to the defending walls.

Bom dia Rui,
Esta é uma cidade que eu gostaria demais de conhecer, principalmente pela atmosfera medieval que há por lá.Deve ser como se nos transportássemos para o passado. Gostei do jogo de sombra e luz nas paredes brancas.

Olá Rui,
um beco curioso esse, e achei interessante a perspectiva criada pela grande angular, essa lente ficaria interessante numa D700, desde que não crie vinheta. As cores ficaram ótimas também aqui.

Esta fotografia tem uma geometria muito interessante, resultante tanto das sombras como do ângulo em que foi "caçada"... quase que aposto que o fotógrafo ficou com a roupa caiada! :) Ou seria uma curva?!

O Xisto ao cutelo também faz um padrão bonito no arruamento.

I think this area is famous for its preservation of beautiful villages in pristine condition. Well exposed image wwith good perspective composition. Excellent sharpness especially on the cobbled street.

Ola Rui realmente um bom ponto de vista desta muito tipica e quase medieval rua de Monsaraz, ao olhar ate vemos que nao foi tocada pelo tempo, os contrastes e cores estao muito bem capturados, ate nos faz pensar por um momento que estamos ao lado do fotografo, obrigado por nos mostrares mais um pouco do nosso Portugal ao mundo, ate mais, Joao Salas

Olá Rui,
Sou um grande adepto das grandes angulares, brinquedo que aqui foi muito bem utilizado. Fotografar paredes brancas e sombras num dia de sol não é tarefa fácil, mas aqui está muito bem.
Cada vez que vejo fotos desta terra onde o meu pai nasceu digo a mim próprio que já era mais que tempo de ir lá com tempo caçar um punhado de fotos.

Your this photo have splendid graphical effect due to its excellently fixed point of view. Amazing perspective, depth and enviable light plays. I liked also white facades and old textured alley a lot too. Have a nice weekend.
