Stave Church of Lomen Photo

Photographer’s Note

Lomen Stave Church was built in the second half of the 12th century, and you will find it in the community of Lomen in Vestre Slidre municipality.
Approaching the church you ascend a steep slope by the end of which the church emerges. This range of hills make some fine picturesque lines.

I like the kind of mystic/dreamy atmosphere in the photo and the mood the image creates. The clouds (or fog?) surrounding the church make the church and the trees look like 3D objects. Excellent colours, very good composition; the foreground and background are wonderful and distinctly seen, too.

This is a fine composition, and for some reason the foggy background fits the the subject!
The presentation is well balanced and with a fine sense of depth, and I notice the fine details in the architecture...
