Photographer’s Note
This was taken using my first digital camera, a Kodak DX3900. The colours were just glorious and geting thisimage was a perfect end to a great day. I love being in the Scottish Highlands.

Hi Lorna,
a good picture. My suggestion is to crop 25% at the bottom to have the horizon at the golden ratio. There´s also some grain in it, but this is the low light and the camera. You can get it realla sharp only with a tripod, longer exposure and an aperture around f/11.
The colour tones changing from bright orange to dark blue are really really nice.
I like it !
Cheers Chris

Hello, Lorna.
A very nice picture considering it was taken with an early digital camera. Was it really taken as far back as 2000 or is the date setting wrong in the camera?
As Chris says, it's a tad grainy but the colours and lighting are superb.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

A nice image that would really benefit from a simple piece of noise removal software going to work on it. As another member has said below, a good idea would be to crop 20 or 25% off the bottom of the image to ofset the horizon. Being a portrait photographer I am no expert on landscapes but I know the pro`s say never make the hrizon central! - Colin
