Photographer’s Note
Northern Lights - St John's Point
I was expecting to create some motion in the sea with this long exposure but it was quite calm. I was surprised however that that sky turned out the way it did and I rather like to be honest. The foreground rock pretty much matched the colour of the lighthouse which was another surprise. Probably not to everyone's taste but its a different look and technique.
Thanks for looking..

Incredible colors and incredible sharpness! Your picture illustrates the opposition between inertia and movement.

Even better than the black and white... only just though. The colours are superb and so
are the clouds.

Stephen,
Wow, another great lighthouse from your gallery! The sky is amazing and provides a great backdrop for the shot. The rock colors which match the lighthouse adds great points of interest in the foreground. The lighting and colors are great with outstanding sharpness and DOF.

Hi Stephen,
I love this lighthouse a lot, maybe because of its colours ! I love your framing, with nice details of stones in the foreground and a great depth of field. The sky has a great texture.

Hello Stephen,
Wonderful capture, colours and clarity are absolutely amazing, very good exposure control, nice composition, love the sky too. I agree the workshop with fixed lens distortion looks better.
Excellent work!!

Hi Stephen:
This is quite nice. You've got wonderful clarity and contrast in those stones, and incredible light above that lighthouse. I love how the purple and yellow complement each other. Great job.

Hello Stephen,
Quelle image ! Tu as trouvé une très belle alliance entre les couleurs du phare et les pierres jaunes dans l'avant plan ! L'effet de la longue pose est parfait sur le ciel!
Une très belle image.
Bravo !
A+
