Photographer’s Note
The buildings of Riomaggiore, like other Cinque Terre towns is a riot of colour, some have bright new paint, others with fading paint and on others much the paint is peeling away.
One of the other fascinating aspects of Riomaggiore is how the road down to the water is used as a parking lot for boats - like the buildings the boats are also very colourful.
Many of these buildings are built against and into the very steep hillside with windows at the front of the building only. Our apartment was cave like.

Hello Ian
What an impressive place. It's so stunning !
You've chosen a very good POV to accentuate these massive buildings, and the way you've composed with the low wall at the foreground is well seen.
Great vivid colors, and good sharpness.
Well done.
Thanks for sharing such a place.

Karine

Hello Ian,
Lovely capture of one of my most favourite parts of this world.
Good composition amd POV. Although it looks to be a bit cloudy you've captured the colours and the atmosphere of Riomaggiore perfectly.
Excellent image.
Cheers

Ian,
Great, vivid colors and nice perspective. Riomaggiore was my favorite of the five Cinque Terre towns. I believe I stayed in a room in the white building in the center of your photo--my room was so small it was also cave-like. But who needs a fancy hotel room when you should be spending all your time exploring the town hiking the trails between the towns!

Superbe et très surprenant endroit... Les couleur sont magnifique... Cela me fait penser à Burano pour les couleurs... et très surprenant cette minuscule plage.
