Photographer’s Note

The white church is Santa Engrácia church, known as the National Pantheon. The photo was shoot from another monument in this area - São Vicente de Fora Monastery. Both have high towers which allow amazing views over the city and the river.

Both monuments are situated in a pleasant neighbourhood named Alfama, which dates back to the moorish occupation of the city, therefore the streets are narrow, and sloped since it is built in one of the 7 peaks of the city.

Very nice view from your high POV. Like the way you used the tiled roof at the bottomn to frame. The white church stands out amidst all the red & warm colours. Beautiful turquoise sea in the BG. Good work!

Hello Alexandra,
Excellent POV! The church is really well located in your composition to leave a lot of space to the orange roofs and to the blue, partly of the sky, partly of the sea.
I like the way you used the roof in front of you as a foreground, with a good diagonal. As far as I am concerned, I would have cropped the photo to start with the roof on the left in the exact left corner.

I liked very much Alfama when I visited Lisbon. The view you give us of this church is amazing, with the inmense river in the background. Nice colors, very beautiful the red roofs... I like the composition very much. Thanks.

Uma belissima vista do Panteao Nacional. Gosto desta perspectiva... De onde fotografaste ?
As cores estão lindas mas existem algumas partes um pouco sobre-expostas.
