Photographer’s Note

This temple dates back to the end of the 2nd century BC and has remained more or less intact. Nineteen of the twenty Corinthian columns which surround it survive but the trabeation and the original roof (probably a dome) are missing. The temple is commonly known as the Temple of Vesta. It was turned into a church under Christianity, and was first dedicated to S. Stefano delle Carozze and then, halfway through the 16th century, to S. Maria del Sole, because an image of the temple emanating a ray of sunlight had been found in the Tiber.

Immagine ben composta nel triangolo albero-fontana-tempio. Ottimo l'inserimento della figura umana che toglie l'effetto cartolina.

Nice postcard image. Sharp, good range of lit and shadow areas, real colors, beautiful and interesting temple. The man in red adds the dynamic element.

Ciao Marco,
bell'inquadratura, non era facile secondo me isolare dal caos cittadino il tempio e la fontana, arricchiti tra l'altro da una nota di colore rosso.

Grande POV per questa foto.
Ottimi l'illuminazione e il contrasto.
Anche i colori sono ben definiti.
Mi piace la presenza del tizio che attraversa il parco. E' vestito con i colori del Catania Calcio! Eheheheh!
Scherzi a parte, dà un tocco di vitalità all'immagine.
Sono stato tantissime volte a Roma, ma ad essere sincero, non ho mai visto questo piccolo tempio e ne sconoscevo l'esistenza.
La prossima volta che andrò nella Capitale, andrò a visitarlo.
