Photographer’s Note
Last weekend, I and my gf went on a trip to Sihanouk Ville, the beach area, about 4 hours away from the capital city. Just wanted to get relaxed and also, of course, hunt for photos. At about 12PM, we just finished delicious seafood lunch on the beach with great sunshine. Just a few minutes later, unexpected storm was coming. I was also excited to get my camera out and took the chance. And here it is. I wish i could get a better forground, but oh well, I just made use of whatever available in front of me at that moment. Sad that storm like this lasted just for less than 5 mn. And then it rained so heavily.

I really like your photo with the menacing dark clouds. I can imagine the storm and the amount of rain. The round storm front is amazingly clear and adds a good pattern to the sky. Well done.

Hi Sothy, So there is a least one benefit of being somewhere that experiences sudden heavy rain - remarkable skies! You certainly found one for this shot. The FG could be more interesting, but it would be hard to find one that did justice to that sky. As it is it works well enough. Initally I think I would have been tempted to clone out the swimmers, but I thinking again better to leave them in. cheers, Steve

I had to move away from the monitor to duck the coming waves. I love the way you have shot this one and the natural tones, textures and colours. Superb composition indeed.

Colors are amazing. The dark sky gives the sea this green tone, which matches so well with the rest.
The line of sand gives a nice foreground.
A good composition

Wow, those clouds are super dramatic, and compare that with the calm relaxed beach in the foreground, those are the unexpected rewards of the monsoon season in SE Asia.

Hi Sothy,
I am glad we are in contact again after so long not "meeting".
You achieved a great capture of that impressive light, clouds and wonderful colours of the sea. The atmosphere is quite something! I am impressed that those people in the sea look so unworried with the menacing sky.
Regards, José.

Hello Sothy
I see very well the depression on the cluds; yt's the center of the storm.
Well done for this dramatic sky.
Very strange if the sea is not rough.
Best greetings from Orléans while waiting the new year.
