Photographer’s Note

Hello dears,

Today next photo from the trip across Crete and Santorini...These two islands are full of incredible stairs in amazing colours, in the style not possible to find in the different places. This lovely white - green ones were found in Sissi - place of the stay in Crete.

Sissi is located 40 km from Iraklion and 25 km from Agios Nikolaos, near to all the places you should see but yet quiet and calm.
The landscape is well balanced between sea and mountains. The sea is warm and calm and there are small, clean and romantic beaches.
There are paths for people who love biking and for those who prefer walking there are the beautiful roads of the village and the wonderful lanscape around Sisi where they can enjoy the contact with nature. The visitor can enjoy the Cretan way of life, as Sisi is small, hospitable and quiet, but full of life. It offers accommodation that serves all tastes, with hotels of every category (rooms, studios, apartments) with 3500 available beds, and a camping. In Sisi there are many small hotels with family character, who are characterized by the warm relationships between the personnel and the guests. There are also various stores and services that cover every need and suit to every pocket.
The small and picturesque port of Sisi looks like a big natural swimming pool and is ideal for walks by the sea. In the port there is the picturesque anchorage of the amateur fishermen where they moor their boats, as Sisi has lots of fishing places.
On the east side of the village there is the sandy beach of Boufos, with the international award of the Golden Starfish.

Hello Mik, I like the simplicity of this shot and the way you have rotated it a little, it is very effective.
The colours are very pleasing.It needed the leg/foot to complete the composition.

I think even without the leg the image would still look great. Both ways are awesoe and very artistic. Nice angle to create a more dynamic image and the foot does break the monotony of the two colours nicely. I'm glad you had a good time in such a beautiful place :-)

Well you had great photographic (and not only I hope), moments in Crete.

Very nice detail, this emerald green is superb and contrasts best against the white thanks to your very good exposure, this contrast also outlines the stairs graphism and it's nice you added Aga's foot to break the pattern ;-)

love this graphic photo, the textures of the stone wall and stairs are great, as are the colours. the creative tilt emphasises the unusual approach to the composition, and somehow the foot with a sandal reminds me of Ancient Greek sportsmen :) interesting work, I like it.

Imagen muy creativa, yo mas diria artistica y poetica.

Los colores son buenos y el control de la exposicion muy bien realizado, aun con la dificultad que supone en trozo pintado de blanco.

The simplicity and the graphism of this scene is impressive. The tilted setting and the angle closed on the steps and the leg work very well, and the effect of the green color on the white of this beautiful traditional architecture they give a great strength to the composition.
