Hi Paul,
Nice composition of Mt. Fuji picture altought I'd cut part of the sky. But maybe you should consider to use some filters with your camera. A polarizer filter would have eliminated most part of the blur.
What's your opinion about the Nikon D80? I'm planning to buy it with the same zoom 18-200 you're using.
