Heaven Stairs Photo

Photographer’s Note

A picture taken at a temple. I was there during lunch time, and so monks were on their way to the lunch place. I was there looking at a place where I can capture them walking upstairs. Here is the only one place that i could manage to find.

The name of the temple is "Choum Pous Ka-Ek". It is about 20 mn away from PP. It is located in Prek Pra village. To get there, take "Chba-ampou bridge" and turn right straight.

This temple is huge with a lot of support, esp from Priminister Hun Sen. WS is overall view of the temple.

Hello Sothy,
I like the graphism of your photo and the splash of colors made by the monk and the stairs. Like Daniel I like the diagonal made by the stairs but I wonder if more space, well a less close view wouldn't have enhance the graphism...

What a neat shot, I love how you captured the stairs exiting the corners of the shot with the single man in bright colors walking up the center of them. Very nice, TFS.

Nowadays monk photos take my attention a lot especially with their bright wearings. But there is something different in your photo (at least something that I haven't seen in any photo before) is the green detail in the compo.
Green and orange, and their brightness is amazing. The colors differ your photo from "any stair" photo in my opinion. And also nice idea of wide screen framing, although I think it is a overthick...

The centring is really excellent with the lines of the rail of the staircase which cross the image in the diagonal. The contrast of orange of the garment in this universe pastel is fantastic. A great shot, congratulations!

Seems i missed some great shots from your hand, but i see also that you are not that so active anymore...oh well, there are other nice things in life ;-)
Your great eye caught this monk at the right moment, great timing. But more impressive is the play with colour and composition with the stairs...i like that a lot...very good work, it's a wonderful photo.

Very nice colors, but i think the picture would have been better with the monk in the first part of the stairs.

Cool shot. I really like this one. Such a simple subject, but captured so well, from the banister leading from one corner to the other, to the simplicity of the colors so that the monk's orange garb stands out. Great job.
