Photographer’s Note

Pour vous faire connaître la ville de Liège, Rosa et moi avons été prendre ces photo des hauteur de Liège, près de la citadelle.
Cet endroit lorsque vous êtes concentré sur vos photos, semble calme avec juste des voitures qui se garent entre les arbres.
Lorsque vous avez fini de vous concentrez sur vos photos, vous vous demandez pourquoi certains s' arrêtent a votre hauteur, vous observent, puis repartent, puis reviennent, puis s' arrêtent un peu plus loin.
Vous rentrez vous et votre matériel dans votre voiture en vous demandant qui sont ces gens , certains vous disent bonsoir, d' autre ont l' air patibulaire et vous regarde comme si vous étiez des intrus, des non tolérés dans cet endroit.
Brrrr, j' en ai encore froid dans le dos.

To make known to you the town of Liege, Rosa and me were to take these photograph height of Liege, close to the citadel. This place when you are concentrated on your photographs, seems calm with Juste of the cars which pull over between the trees. When you finished you concentrate on your photographs, you wonder why some s' stop has your height, observe you, then set out again, then return, then s' stop a little further. You return and your material in your car by asking you which are these people, for some say to you good evening, d' other have l' air patibulaire and looks at you as if you were of the intruders, of not tolerated in this place. Brrrr, j' in am still cold in the back.

That is thought provoking. I didn't imagine Belgium looked like that at all ... it confounds traditional notions of what a European city is associated with. Far more modern than I expected. Well done.

Comment veux-tu que l'on ait envie de visiter ta ville après ta description? Pourtant, si l'on en juge par ta belle image de nuit, c'est plutôt beau.Une suggestion différente de celle de Didi : supprimer complètement le ciel très clair pour obtenir un panoramique sur la ville?

En effet j'hésite à m'aventurer le soir à Orléans avec mon matériel car la ville n'est pas très sécurisée, c'est dommage car il ya de quoi photographier le soir.
Ton point de vue est bien choisi pour nous présenter ta ville.
Au niveau de la critique je me permets de te suggérer une légère sous exposition de -1/3.

The reflection is an eye catcher here with the street lights illuminating the lower part of the buildings. You had an excellent view here and the brilliance of colors stimulates a soothing effect on the overall scene. Great shot.

The blue effect and the magic it has weaved, inspired me to clikc in the evnng and in the night.
The street lights are on but the lights in the homes are yet to be switched on.
Either they are on the streets aor yet in the offices.
Its good you added sky to the shot, beacuse if I crop it from the top, then the eyes seacrh for more light.

Je connais l'endroit d'où tu as pris cette photo, c'est une des plus belles vues sur Liège. Une très belle photo avec de très belles couleurs, le bleu et celui des lumières qui se reflètent dans la Meuse. Du bon travail.

Bonjour Thomas,
l'endroit est idéal pour les photos de cette belle courbe de Meuse, pas de brumes, les conditions idéales. Un coin aussi bizarre, je sais, heureusement que Rosa était là pour te protéger !!
La vue est magnifique, un peu heure bleue (très à la mode) et nette. Quelques ponts bien visibles.

Le temps d'exposition de quatre secondes et probalement l'utilisation d'un trépied ont donné de bons résultats. La prise de vue dirige notre regard vers la ville de Liège et la forêt en arrière-plan. Les reflets dans l'eau sont des atouts à la composition. Le sujet est bien cadré. Bonne soirée.

Hi Thomas, I've lived in Belgium for a while but never seen Liege which seems quite different than Brussels. This city brings my mind the famous Belgian football club, Standard Liege. A charming blue hour photo, with excellent point of view. Congratulations.

Hello Toto, I like night photography, but one must be careful because of the type of people you can meet late at night. I like the colours & detail in this cityscape, I would also have expected something more traditional in architecture & not so modern. Good POV to capture the river, reflections & hill in GB. I also like the WS version.

I've passed this city many times on my way to the Ardennes (never actually visited the city itself), but never could have imagined it to look as beautiful as this!
