Photographer’s Note
Al-Jdeida is one of the more picturesque parts of Aleppo, made up of many cathedrals and churches, mainly Armenian and Syrian Orthodox. Many of the streets and architecture date back to medieval times.
Many locals have taken advantage of this and Al-Jdeida is now home to many of the cities finest restaurants and shops. As locals will tell you, the President has been known to dine in these establishments on a regular basis.

Ah! The souks of Aleppo...
One of the dreamiest places i've ever visited...
And you Julian, have presented the mystic atmosphere very well with the lonely figure, the perspective of the ancient arches and the large portion of great darkness.

Hi Julian!
This is a very strong and capturing composition from Aleppo. You have really used the shades of darkness and light in your favour. The man is in the right spot of the photo but I still wonder how I would turn out if he was in the lightest area further into the picture at the next arch.
Best regards from
