Photographer’s Note
Thiksey, Leh-Ladakh - altitude 3400 m
Thiksey Gompa.
The position where it is possible to take photos of the gompa without electric wires, is very limited, so that this composition is very similar to the photos taken by TE member in the past.
I used a high speed shutter to capture sharply because did not have a tripod.

Hello Hisashi,
Still impressive to note the cleaness of the air in Ladakh, it is providing a special feeling when looking to the photos of this area.
I like a lot the composition of your photo using in foreground the stuppas and allowing also as you described to remove the electrical wires. Not easy sometimes to get esthetic photos ;-)

Namaste Hisashi,
Great PoV for this image, the city is beautiful, very majestuous and it's amazing how it looks similar to Lhasa from where. Your speed is very high for a landscape image without moving person or animal, how about trading a bit of this speed for a smaller aperture ?
Have a nice day JY

Hello Hisashi,
This is a really good picture. I like the composition, the village on the hill is well placed, and the white color of walls is contrasting with the deep blue of the sky.
Congratulations !

Hi Hisashi,
Another wonderful capture from Ladakh.I just have the feel that the position where it is possible to shoot without wires might just well turn out to be the best position !!!Love the view from side-on.The sky is as always wonderful. What about the trade off between lower aperture and your chosen high speed of shutter ?
Greetings,

Hello Hisashi,
Beautiful clear ,crisp, shot. It may be the only POV to miss the wires but your composition is perfect. What incredible architecture, the cairns in the foreground look like large candles. Such lovely work, congratulations.

Excellent! That's very beautiful, Hisashi! I love the POV, the bright colors are great, well balanced and saturated. The composition (I understand that's quite a classic in this place to avoid electric wires, but anyway, it doesn't diminish your skill) is good. A panoramic version would patently work very well but i like it so, with the white clouds as a reflection in the sky of the sacred walls down.
Best regards,

Hello Hisashi,
Une très belle prise de vue qui innonde l'observateur de lumière. L'exposition est vraiment très bien gérée et les hautes lumières sont très bien conservée. La composition est bien construite avec cette citadelle sur cette colline.
Bravo !

Hello Hisashi,
Very good composition, i like the wall starting just at the lower corner of the image, and very good light management which is always difficult with white subjects. The polarizer works fine and adds an extra contrast making the colors great.
Have a nice day,

Hi Hisashi,
Very nice take of this lovely village, of white painted houses (like here, in Andalucia), because of the sun. I like the way you use the diagonal line of the stone wall to lead the eye all through the image up to the red houses on the top. Fine looking sky, sharpness and DOF too. In my opinion, an very good photo work.
Best regards,

Hisashi,
The 'wireless' POV is excellent, and i don t really remember seing it, so for me it is new(even if i live in Idia since 25 years!)
You have superb colors here and the compo is nicely balanced by the chrtens on the left foreground... Sharp and clear... it has something of the Potala!

Hi Hisashi,
that´s a magic place, and you did well to enclose the stupas in the foreground. With the polarizer you get a nice contrast between the blue sky and the white city.
Excellent photowork !

Electric wires or not, it's an excellent POV, especially with the clouds setting off the deep-blue high-altitude sky. The overall look of the place is really brought out well, and since the sun isn't shining strongly, you aren't getting excessive glare. It's a beautiful, well-composed shot. Regards, Ken.

Hi Hisashi!
What a wonderful scenery!I guess I've never seen these white stuppas before. The composition and colours are very good.Good sharpness and a fantastic ble sky. Seems a little like Tibet. Did you find this region safe when you were there? It must be a really great place to visit!

Hello Hisashi,
I'm very glad to discover your work thru the critique you've made me some days ago, let me tell you you have a wonderful gallery by whatt I've seen so far.
This photo is one good example of it with this great pov to show us this fantastic village from bellow to the top.
The polarizer gave you a good help to get this dep blue sky and to get such a great contrast with the tones that compose the city.
Cheers.

You also have beautiful photos from India! The white buildings of the gompa look brilliant under the deep blue sky and the stupas in the foreground also look nice thanks to the wide angle.
