Photographer’s Note

Taken while on my last trip to Vienna this past May. Schonbrunn palace. The sky is not the 'perfect' blue but I found the dramatic clouds more interesting. Hope you all enjoy!!

Hello Christan,

Well composed and beautiful architenture/garden!
And, it draws well good effect in the entire image by showing the contrast between blue sky with clouds and wide green garden with arranged flowers. I like POV.
Anyway, I tried a workshop from another angle. Yet, this is my personal taste and I hope that you don't mind. And then, it's different color image you actually have seen there. Sorry!

Hi Christan!
I like this place, the light you had, and I like your POV: you were able to deswcribe it without showing the huge crowd crossing there!
I think that your shot is a little too dark and not enough sharp, so I tried a WS, I hope you like it

I think the less than perfect sky is fine here, I have the same type of sky in my shots of Schonbrunn as well. Your composition is fine using the gardens as a buildup for the palace. The colors are great for the muted lighting. The photo is sharp and has excellent details through out.

Hi Christan,
you´re right, a clear blue sky is not fitting to architectural shots, the contrasts are too big then.
Nice view that you captured here..
