Bonjour Jaap,
ces paysages hollandais ont un charme indéniable, et puis les ciels qui il y a des siècles,faisaient le joie des peintres, font aujourd'hui celle des photographes.
Moulins en canaux, rives sauvages et herbes folles, ces maisons à toit rouges tout y contribue.

UNe photo dans les belles lumières à demi-hauteur, deux rives herbeuses en diagonales qui sertissent un cnala aux couleurs d'argent.
Un ciel dont le moindre voile nous apparait.
Comme à l'habitude, un travail très soigné.

It does indeed look to have been a very windy day; one can feel the movement in the water and especially the vegetation. The charged sky adds to the mood and makes a good backdrop for the dark tones of the mill.

The very rippled surface of the canal along with the bent winter grasses all back up the fact it was windy. Your favoured composition of the use of perspective works again to draw the eye right in. Good work

Hello Jaap,

Half november is het licht niet van super kwaliteit, dat is alom gekend, maar u heeft er toch een mooie compositie van gemaakt.
Perspectief en diepte are zeer goed, zelf de kleuren voor deze tijd van het jaar zijn zeer goed.
Ja Jaap, de molen doet het weer, maar het landschap leent zich hier op een sublime manier.

Excellent shot of this grand old windmill! Your composition is fine using the canal to lead the eye through the shot. The bending reeds and rippled water gives the shot a sense of motion. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. I think I would have either cropped out the edge of the road or included more of it (see WS).

yould it be the Nehterlands are the windmill country No.1? I saw so many windmill shots so far here on TE, 90% were taken in the Netherlands!
What I really like about this one is the inclusion of the grass in the foreground to create a nice depth of field and of course this dramatic sky. Very well done Jaap!

Olá Jaap, beautiful effect from the wind on this golden vegetation in FG. The curve gives a nice dynamism to the composition. The windmill is of course a wonderful sight and I like the light on the sky. Excellent result in grey weather conditions.

Hello Jaap,

This is absolutely divine, your painterly eye having served you very well. Despite the 200KB limit in size, you were able to present the image with superb resolution. The growth on the right hand side can be counted individually with a magnifying glass. The combination of f/13 and 1/125 second has stopped the wave motion perfectly.

The choppy waves on the water, the tall grasses bent over all point to the fact that it was windy. The use of perspective works very well to draw the eye right in. The sky with the clouds & light is very dramatic. Fine work!

And after the working days are over they make great subjects for photography...

Usually your photos feature perfect light but this one shows your skill in dealing with less than perfect light and STILL creating a masterpiece. The light, color and detail in the clouds is awesome while the windmill is perfectly positioned on the curving waterway.
