Photographer’s Note

I am in the process of moving back to the U.S. after two wonderful years in Switzerland. On my last full day, a friend and I did a long hike up into the mountains near the Grand Saint Bernard Pass, at a place called Ferret. It took about 4 hours to reach the top. This is the view from the path on our descent, which took almost 3 hours to accomplish.

I'm going to dearly miss views like this.

Nice lead in line that starts in a nice place within the frame, a thousand shades of green, and a fantastic sky with all the details well exposed. It really looks like the kind of place I would miss too! So beautiful and you've captured it well.

That's gorgeous, really gorgeous! What a breathtaking sight! This picture really was worth the effort. This must have been a wonderful and impressive hike - not very appropriate to say "Good Bye" to Switzerland ... ;-)

Hello Sandy,

I see very regular picture out of the mountains, but this is very specially.
Perspective and composition are two elements on this image with extraordinarily quality, together with the depth of the path, also a very nice background through the sky.

This is beautiful. This is a nice shot. Every thing is nice and clear and bright, I wish I could be there right now. I love how the clouds are kinda scattered and breaking while the mountains peak out.
