Anawhata summer Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hello to all my TE friends,
As we going through deep winter with cold and rain here in Auckland, sharing this beautiful summer scenery down at the coast in Anawhata from my old file, need the warm summer heat to cheer me up and looking forward the coming summer again!
Among all the coasts along the westcoast of Auckland, this one need a bit of effort to reach by a narrow and steep zig-zag walking trail from the top of the mountain to down below to enjoy the vast section of the coast, will take around 20 to 30 mins but it's worth it!
I hope you can enjoy this beautiful view as well!

The weather looks beautiful here, was cold with thunder and lightning last night. Beautiful beach scene with the native bush and human element with the water coming form the right. Natural colours and excellent sharpness, very well captured.
P/S Will def meet up when weather is better.

Good pov to include tourists at the corner, intersting composition to show them wearing simply summer clothes and impossible for them to do so now in winter, distinct image to show smooth sand on the beach, nice blue sky, good shoot.

The inclusion of some people in it (left bottom corner) gives us a better idea of size!
It looks very nice, with the shapes of the hills, the creeks, the sea... and what a blue sky above!

Hi Tony,
a very nice view to a place where people seem to used to relax there. I like the green surrounding and that bit grey and brown of the sand. Good to see some people there, maybe better if they would be complete in the capture.

It's a beautiful beach with the vegetation covering the rocks, the hills in BG, nd awith a peaceful atmosphere which is well conveyed. I like this kind of beach with only few people and I think you did well in including the small group adding kind of dynamism to the scene!

Hi, Tony -

Lovely shot. The scenery reminds me here of parts of the northern California coastline, though the vegetation is quite different.

I like the inclusion of the group of people off in one corner, though I think you could have included full bodies. Or maybe not. The guy walking out of the frame - but toward the viewer - is a nice touch, I have to say on second thought.

Hello Tony:

Your country is a marvel of territory, with some landscapes splendor, undoubtedly filled with plenty of sunshine and naturalness.

The viewpoint is very appropriate, but I do not like the personal intervention of people at the scene, and in particular that have been "cut" their lower limbs. For the others I like the picture, as always your beautiful country.

Probably it's because I am only used to see so much green on the seaside outside the tropics, these views of yours fascinate me much. It's a kind of mix "country and sea" that I only saw recently in the Northern Spain.
Spotless compo, with "everything exactly where it should be", very neatly balanced, whic together with the good use of the light and the natural colours well rendered, produces a beautiful result.

Hi Tony,
Wonderful symetery to this stunning coastal shot. The placment of the rolling hills along the beautiful sand beach showing the little tidal creeks and a little bit of pastel sea is very thoughtfull.
The colors show great clarity and a beautiful contrast between sky and trees. The additional of the folks on the lower left adds wonderful scale to this fine coastal offering.

Oh yeah 'oh whatta' scenery Tony! You are a trekker dude, bringing us to places most of us have never been to! The opposite weather you've got there all cold and wet huh, here its very hot and humid just gets your energy down at times.

Can't say much of the technicalities, you always get the right settings, great image quality!

I think I could use some colder days as things are burning this summer with temperatures constantly above 35 C. Nice capture with that summer flavor apparaent. Must be a nice place to swim

It's funny, in the winter it's nice to see the pictures from summer, and in summer I like to look at winter (it cools me down :) I like the inclusion of people in this, and all of the colors are excellent. Very good detail. TFS and have a great day!

I am in a tropical place, where there is no winter...but i still appreciate the superb landscape, with perfect light, excellent colors and sharpness as well as a fine framing... i have to say two things though! I think the group of people don't add much, so it was better without them...and also a minor tilt towards the left on the small bit of horizon...

yes, I can enjoy this beautiful view - and envy the people having the chance of being there. Rocks and mount together can produce a miraculous effect and additionally there is place for people here. Perfectly exposed and composed - as usual from you. (But the horizon is quite strange here.)

It seems strange to hear you talking about cold and rain when we are viewing scenes like this! I must admit, I have often posted good weather shots in winter, to remind me what warmth is like! It's a great pick-me-up!

Your photographic memories are excellent!
It was a good idea to use the people in the f/g as we follow their lead to the beach. However, I think it would have been better to have stepped back a few feet and just given a little diagonal path where they were walking.

Lovely combination of sea, sky, beach and land. They sit in perfect harmony. Excellent sharpness and colours.
