Photographer’s Note
This was taken at a marina in Sarasota, Florida. Hibiscus are native to Asia and the Pacific Islands, but have been imported to Florida with great success, and are now one of the state's more popular flowers. Found in wide varieties and colors, one color not found is a true blue shade. Cropping and sharpening only were done to the photo, no color adjustment made.

You must have had been too close for your camera to focus sharply here Paula. The leave at the back on the left is pretty sharp instead of the petals. Find the shortest focusing distance of the camera and don't go shorter than that or the camera would focus and lock something else.
By the way, the national flower of Malaysia is hibiscus.

Very beautiful flower with a great complimentary frame Paula. I might have added a small "stroke" of yellow between the photo and pink frame to really pull the color out of the flower :) I was going to suggest the same as Rabani, but it looks like he beat me to it (he's so smart :) TFS

Paula,
Beautiful shot! I love the colours in the hibiscus. The focus in on the flowers in background so the flower is a bit fuzzy. The pink frame I think works well here as it picks up the pink in thr flower.
Well done!
