Photographer’s Note
This building, from architects Josep Anglada i Rosselló, Josep Ribas González, Daniel Gelabert i Fontova, is one of the tallest of Barcelona. It is called Edificio Colón (something like 'Colombus Building'). Its construction ended in 1970, and at that time, it was the first major skyscraper built in Barcelona. It is 110m (361 ft) tall, and has 28 floors. I was just crossing the street when I saw this interesting point of view. As the cars were waiting for the lights to pass to green, I just had the time to crouch and take this snapshot. I took a quick look on my LCD to check it but didn't notice that a part of the 'post' was cut off. It was only afterwards that I saw that the composition wasn't perfect. But I decided to post it because I like it though.

Hi Thomas,
Great great urban shot ! The composition is original and very well seen and not a common one from Barcelona. The crop isn't disturbing and seems to be part of a meticulous composition.
Hvae a nice day,
Marion

Hello Thomas,
glad to see you again in TE.
Skyskrapers are not my favorites but I like the composition.
It seems perfect like that to me. The building in diagonal makes a good effect.
Have a nice day,
Donato

Hi Thomas.
Really a splendid urban shot with a great low POV and composition. Also I like very much the contrasted colours and how you used the street lamp and the building for the photo.
Well done and regards from Barcelona.

HI Thomas,
Usually I don't like tilted images - but this is an exeption. The long buildong with the background seems as a PP trick - but I think it is a photographer's trick.
Well done!
Regards,
Miklós
