Photographer’s Note

That day on the hills, spent entirely in the clouds (most of the time, in the rain too), I encountered many such grandmas with several children :

(posted earlier :
same grandma with some distance
another grandma with kids the same day, in the rain)

... There are days like that, when the same encounters keep on repeating again and again...

But why were my feet fascinating so much 3 of the kids ?

Observing and being observed... That very special day, mysterious apparitions in the mist vanishing quickly (Like in "Amarcord", you see ?)...

These eyes, Cath, they dont look at us, they tell us a all story, it doesnt matter if it is the real one or some other make up by our imagination, but the point is that they are so expresive that I love them... Congratulaitons.

:)))) Great scene. Think it's good idea and very useful to wore strange shoes just in case ;))) You provoke the children to behave so natural and at the same time different than normally, when their curiosity is concentrated on your camera, hat, sunglasses or whatever it is around your face. And woman's face is also exceptional - curious and friendly at the same time. The whole so colourful group looks very fine with that foggy background. Foggy photos always suite me most as it comes to India.

Bellissima immagine, Cath!
Mi piave tanto il ritratto della donna, per l'espressione e per gli orecchini al naso. E poi mi piace la composizione degradante verso tutti quei bambini molto colorati e abbastanza sporchi.
Fantastico l'effetto della nebbia, che chiude la scena sfumandola.
Fai bene a fotografare sempre la gente!

Hi Cath, I like the composition in this shot, the woman up close and the children spread out to the left. The misty BG works well too, much better than had it been a clear day. I found the womans face a little dark, hiding some detail, so did a WS. Hope you like it. cheers, Steve

quel beau portrait de cette femme, avec cette kyrielle d'enfants, le brouillard masque agréablement l'arrière plan et ainsi donne beaucoup plus d'impact aux personnages.

J'aime beaucoup ce portrait groupé avec la mamie en premiere ligne et le ribambelle de bambins qui regardent (presque) tous quelque chose par terre... le tout dans un brouillard épais qui donne une certaine profondeur.

cette scène toute simple est d'une grande beauté!Beauté du regard de la femme,beauté des couleurs des vêtements,et beauté de l'arrière-plan brumeux,qui,en plus d'une note un peu mystérieuse,permet à la scène d'être bien mise en valeur!

Sublime image, c'est le cadeau de la journée - Les têtes des enfants sont dégagée, pas évident a chaque coup et dans une pareille atmosphère. Le brouillard dans le bois du fond c'est un rêve.
Una gagnante a chaque concours. Utilise la.. Bravo et félicitations

Encore une tres belle photo dans ton travail, chere Catherine. Le portrait de groupe qui motive l'exploration. Surtout, et encore une fois, j'aime bien ta palette que j'aimerais tellement transmettre sur mes toiles. C'est ce que j'appellait les couleurs Kodak et un gris formidable dans le deuxieme plan. Puis, la photo thematique sur la maternite que tu as su deja realise parfaitement. Grand merci et autant d'amities!
