Photographer’s Note

I do a break, and though a bit late, because I did not know Achim's topic “2008 No Points Day, Peace in the World” up to today, with this photo I join it.

The photo is taken between the building of the MAPFRE Tower, and the Hotel Arts, in Barcelona, and I think that the graphical harmony of these flags has a symbolism that it might apply to the living together between different races, ideas, countries and religions. Living in a world full of peace.

Hago una pausa, y aunque un poco tarde, porque no conocí el tema de Achim hasta hoy, con esta foto me adhiero al Día Sin Puntos, por la paz en el mundo.

La foto está tomada entre el edificio de la Torre MAPFRE, y el Hotel Ats, en Barcelona, y yo pienso que la armonía gráfica de estas banderas tiene un simbolismo que se podría aplicar a la convivencia entre diferentes razas, ideas, países y religiones. Vivir en un mundo lleno de paz.

Con una bella nota, un pequeno homenaje a Lennon, presentas esta perspectiva.

La iluminacion radiante, nos permite apreciar unas bellas tonalidades, bien contrastantes, con nitidez, y el ondear de las banderas ofrece una gran dinamismo

Salut Josep,
Belle image pour ce no points day. le graphisme avec la tour est très beau mais ce que je préfère c'est le reflet des drapeaux sur l'acier. Il y a une délicatesse et une belle transparence qui me plaisent beaucoup.

La tragédie de septembre 2001 rappelle que les tours ne sont pas des symbôles de Paix. On se demande plus que jamais à quoi riment les guerres, organisées par des pays riches qui vraiment, n'ont pas besoin de plus que ce qu'ils n'ont.
On sait les équilibres économiques fragiles, les crises catastrophiques trop faciles à déclencher.
Mais cela justifie-t-il des 'meurtres' ?

Hola Josep,
what else than those flags could present better the change in Europe to a peaceful together. A clear capture in good light, fine interests by the surrounding architecture and for sure the right contribution for that theme.
