Photographer’s Note
The low clouds burned off shortly after sunrise (and a warm, hearty breakfast!) when I visited Canmore on this September day: I wanted to capture the detail of this mountain, and the Nikon 70-300 VR lens did the job admirably!
PS: Our fellow TE member Roberto Salguero ('robertosalguero') will no doubt be able to name this peak for me!!

Good photo, with such great deepness. I love the capture and the colours (the amazing blue of the sky and the white of the snow, though the green is not so convincing). The clouds are fantastic, it really gives the sensation of a very high mountain. it must be a great place.

le cadrage est peut être un peu trop centré à mon gout mais c'est tout de même une très belle vue qui donne bien l'impression d'un géant!
paysage grandiose!

Hi Jeff,
What an amazing shot!
I like everything about it:colors, composition, light, sharpness and clarity.
I feel so small when I look at it...
I know you miss these places already, right?
Cheers:)

Hi Jeff,
Ah, our Canadian Rockies - a fine composition and the square format seems to make the mountains even larger and forboding. Well done and TFS. Gerald

Hi Jeff,
This is a very nice close up of Mt Rundle. Not a very high mountain but definitely one with a huge base. This mountain is 20kms long at its base! Nice work Jeff. Your image is sharp and the colours look awesome. Nothing better than a winter scene of this giant. Cheers :-)

Remarquable peak of the Rockies indeed :)
The square photo allows a good full view, and the clouds and trees add some scale to this magnificent giant.
