I don't know why - but when I started posting photos here I always wanted to post a tree that stands alone on a field or meadow. And now - after a while - here it is.

Every tree I found - from the moment my search started on up to now - and thought it worth being photographed wasn't a single tree - it always was a group of three ore more that seemed to be one tree from some distance.

But than a close friend came and told me she found "my" tree - standing alone, being just one tree, big enough and well shaped (btw: she posts photos here and on TL / TN; have a look at the gallery of "Nagel"). And she was right! I can't tell you how excited I was on the way from our home town to the place where this tree grows.

This oak tree stands on grazing land and provides some shadow for the cows.
