Hi, Ryan,
Nice kiss by the light and the reflection in the water is also beautiful.
Isn't the frame a little bit too thick, though?:)

I love the clearity of the reflection on the still water.
Pink top of the mountain is just amazing.
Well done!

The contour of the mountains actually look like the contour of a face. Which makes this image so much more interesting, with its almost perfect reflection in the water.
cheers,

Hey Ryan,
Oh man, there you are, what kept you so long? Busy for a year i think in preparing this awesome shot to slam all of us around our faces? ;-)
What a view, or better said, what a great Ryan Thayne photo. the boy from Utah strikes again.
Stunning light man, but that is what we are use to see from you...only the best, nothing else. That small piece of red on top, first light, and you were there, dedicated to the bone, you know how i like that in your work.
Great shot my friend....please keep on posting.
Have a great weekend, Henk

Hi Ryan,
Welcome back! It has been a long time since I saw a photo from you. This is a great shot, I like the reflection. But why a vertical view? Seems like there was more of the mountains and reflections that you could have covered with a horizontal frame. Just wondering...
THanks for sharing,
Shaeri

Okay, why not kissed by the light :) another approach. I find early mornings in the alps/mountains very difficult to photograph, and if I look at my stuff it always seems washed out somehow. But your pearl here is how I would like to have, absolutely perfect for me. You can feel the early morning coolness broken up by the first pink on the mountain top, the first sign that help is on the way to warm you up. Beautiful work ... Barbara.

hey, Ryan, welcome back, we missed your crystal clear photos :) like Henk says, your dedication and determination to achieve perfection is obvious in all your shots, and this one is not exception - love the soft pink light in the clouds, reminds me of flower petals. the perfect symmetry of the reflections add to the tranquil feelin, I like it a lot. superb work, my compliments.

Kristine

Hello Ryan,
This is almost symmetrical!
The water acts like a perfect mirror to recapture the magnificent mountains and the stunning sky.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Ryan,
Beautiful light and the perfect moment. I love these subtle colors just before the big alpenglow burst that must have enveloped the entire mountain face over the following minutes. I also like your compositional choice.
Cheers!

Kissed by light and photographed by Ryan Thayne! What else could it be? The picture does not any people on it but fortunately had you behind the camera and the result is breathtaking. Thanks for that.

Ryan,
Your composition is outstanding using the reflection to create depth and balance. The lighting and colors are great here with outstanding sharpness and DOF. The pink toped mountains provide great color for the scene and attract the eye to the top of the mountains.

hello Ryan
the landscape is superb, there is a perfect symetry, the light is wonderful, but I think that the small red light on the top of the mountain is the detail that makes all the difference!Superb!

Hi Ryan.
A lovely shot with great luminosity in the reflection. Marvellous little pinkish tone on that peak from the morning sun. The filters seem to have done wonders for the sky, and I've wondered about using both a CPL and ND at once. Must try it out some time soon. You have also captured the details of the shoreline and trees very well. A very lovely image.

Andrew

Schwabacher's Landing, eh Ryan? Lovely shot of it. Glad to see you got back out there this year. I love that alpenglow and the wispy clouds. I'm not a huge fan of the saturation of the sky though--it seems a little too electric blue for me. Maybe it was that blue, and maybe it's preference, but it seems a bit too saturated. But still, you're making me hungry for mountains. Six days and I'll be in the Rockies... :)

Ryan,
I studied pretty much every single post of yours of this corner of the US. Not a single one that doesn't have the attribute of stunning. This here just blends in with all the others with the merit of perfect timing in the light conditions. Posts like these makes me more then ready for my own trip to Grand Teton in less then 1 month. I'm curious to see if my kids will allow me to chase the light so well as you did it here. At what time did stay out there to shoot this one?
I love romance and especially when it is the light kissing the landscape in such a gentle manner.
Reading through your note several times I really don't get what you mean with "this phot is for #5". Woyuld you please give me an explanation?

Glad to see you're back.
It doesn't need people in it and yes, the American west is awesome, and I can't get tired of seeing photos of it, taken by talented photographers.
I liked the way you exposed for the highlights, to preserve a stunning reflection.
Simple compo, divided in half, and both top and bottom are left almost empty...risky stuff... but as always I can't point a flaw without feeling ridiculous...although it's not by the book ;-)
It's proven, photography it's about inspiration but with a big part of perspiration...nice dawn light.
The note is enigmatic...

Hi #3,
I'm in contact with #1 and #2, for a special project. I know that #4 is away for the moment and #6 should be part of the project also. You'll be contacted soon by #5. But to tell you the truth, I have more and more problem trying to figure out who's #1... Keep on posting this kind of crap and you'll be the only #1, #2 and #3 at the same time... LOL!
Just one beam on one isolated part of the mountain; that's all it takes to make a difference between a superb shot and an extraordinary shot. It must be something being there at the right moment, already knowing even before looking at your LCD screen that it will be it.
While most of photographers would have opt for an horizontal composition, you were brilliant enough to go for the vertical one, understanding perfectly that this tremendous sky and the reflection were deserving lots of space to convey the peaceful mood evoked by your image. This is what I was referring to when saying that it's clear in my mind that you have already know what you want before taking a picture. You don't react, you plan.
You're a hunter.
Thanks for feeding my appetite.
André

Hi Ryan!
Wonderful, the first light of the day at this peak.As Andre just wrote, the vertical format was a good choice to see this nice sky and it`s reflections at the calm water.A great shot, taken from a good POV.

Hi Ryan,
Great!! I start to have more and more difficulty to keep your photographs and the one of Peter Boehringer apart. The style and quality is really getting close. Wonderful work with the light hitting the top of the mountain and what a reflection it is. Great work!!

First of all, thanks to #5 for resurrecting you from the dead. :) We need you here in case you haven't notice that...
This photo of yours is great. I am still looking at that blue on the top. So pure, so fresh, so... blue. Composition is simple but very beautiful. And your exposure is just perfect. Like it a lot.

Hi Ryan
THe red summit here is so striking and brings a lot of originality to this mountain shot. The sky is nicely polarized and the reflection really attractive.

The beauty of nature really stands out here, Ryan, thanks to your skillful choice of time, angle and composition. Nice job balancing the light between land and sky (with the help of PS, no doubt.) I do think it looks somewhat oversaturated, in the style of postcards (but with better light and composition), but that's just my taste for a highly realistic look in such shots. Regards, Ken.

Hello Ryan,
Ian Tyson , the Canadian singer from Okotoks Alberta sings about the early morning rose coloured mountains so well captured here in a perfect moment.
The reflection is marvellous.
Simply a stunner.
