Photographer’s Note
This is a story of common house sparrow, male. I went to shoot for birds at the backside of type - I when I saw this bird perching precariously on a hook in front of a wall clingling mirror at the security checkpost. I didn't pay much heed to it. A commonplace bird with all the commonalities in the setting. Just parked the cycle & left off. After one & half hours I returned to pick my cycle at the post. This time I again saw the bird at the same place. This time I became a little curious. Since it is not a normal nesting place nor it could use a mirror to dress up. What I found is very funny. It is continually pecking at the mirror assuming that there is one more male sparrow lying within the mirror to share his teritorry, food & female. I also noticed the scratch marks all over the mirror. May be it has made it a point to peck at the mirror for about half time of it's day.

Hello Subhayan , curious and interesting history of the sparrow male of Kanpur, who surely will never understand the presence of another sparrow to another side of the mirror.
I congratulate your observation and your skill to capture her in a good picture.
