Photographer’s Note
I spotted this flag at a brdige construction site on Rt. 28 in Northern Virginia. The flag was large and was lit by a big spotlight. I believe this was just around the 1-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and many folks all over the country were hanging flags in memoriam. I took this photo just after the sun had set, while the clouds were still pink from the lingering sunlight. I was drawn to the lines of the bridge support, the flag and the power lines, all converging in the bottom right corner. I had some trouble with lens distortion, and I corrected it the best I could.
