Photographer’s Note
Of the many things that define New York, yellow cabs and the Empire State Building are certainly among them. New York's most famous skyscraper was constructed in this a little year time, and would remain the world's tallest building for some 40 years, until overtaken by the Sears Tower of Chicago in 1972.
