Photographer’s Note
Eva Perón was the wife of General Juan Domingo Perón.
Now the president of Argentina is Cristina Fernández, the first elected woman to get the chair.
Yesterday it was an Act, and in the Plaza de Mayo, Cristina received support from the Peronist Masses. The Evita portrait is among the cowds. The V sign is also a classical peronist sign, extremely popular during the 70s. In the foreground, the Casa Rosada ("Pink House"), the Government Building.
