Photographer’s Note

Hovey Lake is nestled in the far southwest corner of Indiana, between the Wabash and Ohio Rivers. It offers a quiet place for fishing, and some lovely views of bald cypress and other trees, a large number of which can be found standing in the middle of the lake. Two nearby nature preserves offer additional opportunities to view cypress trees in a swampland environment.

This photo was taken at sunrise at Hovey Lake. I was drawn to the reflection of the clouds and sun in the water.

Post processing: Auto levels, slight shadow adjustment, and slight sharpening.
