Buddha I

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is one of the largest of the approximately 50000 Buddha statues in a cave complex outside Datong. The statues date from around 500 a.d. when Datong was the capital of China for a short period. They are beautifully situated opposite to a coal-mine employing 30000 workers :).

Nice composition, Simon. I like the tight feel we have of it here. And the focus on the important parts. The raised palm and the face are well seen. It sense its aura of peacefulness through this shot and to us through your work. And I like the contrast from the darkness at back to the light on the chest. And neither is so much so that we lose detail. It's well seen throughout. Nicely focused shot. Nice work.
Belle exposition et beaucoup de détails sont present sur cette prise.
J'aime bien aussi ce cadrage verticale qui donne un plus a l'image comme un effet de hauteur du sujet.
Bravo Simon,.
