Red Light Symphony Photo

Photographer’s Note

Taken from the World Trade Center observatory, located near Daimon Station. The entrance fee is ¥600, but the view is well worth the money.
The distant lights are Shinjuku's, Tokyo's main skyscraper district.
This photo was taken on a very rainy day, but I focussed through the drops against the window by placing my tripod very close to the window. Yes, that's right, they allow tripods up there!

Rain certainly made shooting more difficult, but result is very impressive.
It's good that there are some skyscrapers nearby as well as some more quite far away. That gives an idea about the size of the city center.
The photo is well processed - correct white balance, very little noise visible in the sky, lights properly exposed, good sharpness.

Welcome to TE !
Great capture of the cityscape at night, we can see clearly the building in Shinjuku 7 km away from here though it was rain. A lot of reds of the obstruction lights are very impressive.
Many photographers crowd to this observatory when the clear winter of air comes.
