Photographer’s Note
Didn't see many photos of the Chicago skyline in here, so... Kidding.
But I didn't see a photo taken from this *location* on here, at least not in the first 35 pages of Chicago photos. I like the interlocking paths and the layers that came out of this photo.
The shot is taken from the pavement in front of the Shedd Aquarium (at least that's how I'm remembering it), also real close to the Field Museum. I've only been to Chicago a few times even though my brother lives there -- this trip was to attend a conference for my work. Each time I've been there, though, I've come away impressed by how nice the city itself is. As gigantic cities go, Chicago feels welcoming and breathable.
The Field Museum is a pretty cool natural history museum that was fun -- I've never met a natural history museum I didn't like. Grant Park and the lakefront are fantastic and provide some great walks between the skyscrapers and the water. The weather there was a little tricky for me -- got caught out in sudden rainstorms twice, the second time about an hour after this photo was taken and my brother and I were trying to catch a cab out in front of the museum.
