Photographer’s Note

Ferrara Balloons Festival is one of the largest festivals of hot-air ballooning in Europe, with numerous teams from Italy and abroad bringing their many-coloured craft. From September 19th-28th, fun and magic in the skies of Ferrara, all setting off from the Bassani Urban Park just outside the Renaissance walls of the Unesco World Heritage City. The festival is also a grand Village of the Air with ever increasing attractions and novelties to entertain all its guests. Visitors can feel the thrill of flight, and experience other delights linked to the air, tethered balloon flights, kite displays, parachute jumps, aeroplane flights over the city and the Po Delta, and still more.

Un gradevole effetto grafico con questi palloni sparsi per il cielo. Ho tentato anch'io una cosa simile con un soggetto diverso. Forse il polarizzatore avrebbe milgiorato il cielo.

Bella inquadratura di queste mongolfiere. Poteva essere una foto banale, invece i controluce e la disposizione asimmetrica dei palloni l'ha resa interessante.

Great composition - especially the contrast between clouds and sharp balloons. I can't decide whether I'd prefer not to see any detail in the surfaces of the balloons - that would maybe make it even stronger.
