Photographer’s Note

In May, the jacarandas (Jacaranda mimosifolia) get that characteristic blue colour. We have plenty of them in Lisbon.
The jacaranda is a tree originated from South America and is one of several tropical species that is well adapted to the Lisbon climate.
Due to Lisbon climate being neither too cold in winter nor too hot in summer it's possible to find here trees from temperate climates and also from tropical ones.

Hi Antonio, excellent capture from Parque Eduardo VII. Those are my favourite trees and in my opinion one of the symbols of Lisbon streets. WSell done ! Tolga

This blue i superb and very well collected. I like also much the way in wich you have integrateds these trees in a framing wich showes the life in the city.

Olá António,

Têm aparecido aqui no TE ultimamente estas arvores que dão um efeito visual bonito à vista e às cidades. São uma boa opção urbana-paisagística pois não têm folhas caducas em excesso.
Pena que o céu ficasse estoirado, um filtro ajudava certamente. Um pov mais aberto seria a meu ver mais atractivo, talvez a ver-se um pouco da Rotunda.Concordas?
Mesmo assim...

what a beautiful stain of color! The good climate of Lisboa facilitates the flowering of these beautiful trees, an image that it is not often seen in the great metropolises. Really beautiful, compliments.
