Oh yes, that day in the Palouse was full of postcard shots. I hope you aren't bored yet as there are plenty to come.

Again taken along the "non-scenic" Washington state highway 23, just where the rolling hills start after driving through another interesting, more volcanic landscape (coming from the north, taking the I-90 exit 245 at Spargue).

Hi Adrian,
Lovely capture of the dramatic sky. The wavy land below, though bare, is providing the stage for nature to enact the drama.
Regards

Hello Adrian,

Une très bonne composition avec ces nuages impressionnants et captivants.
Le 17-40 donne d'excellents résultats avec le 5D ! Bravo pour ce cadrage bien pensé.

brilliant shot, great colours. the clouds look amazing.

Beautiful dramatic landscape - emphasized by the clouds! Amazing patters and textures there.
Well done,
Dave

Bonjour Adrian
Le ciel est incroyable sur cette photo et tu as bien fait de lui laisser autant de place!
Bravo

Hi Adrian,
this one is good!
all the place is for the interesting part, i.e. the sky.
well done!

Hi Adrian,
again a wonderful open space ...
here I don´t understand why the clouds are so sharp and the ground is not. With F9 it should be no problem to get it all.
The blue is perfect. good one !
Compliments, chris

Adrain,
I suppose any two things in a photograph could be said to have a realtionship - but it's certainly not a harmonious one in this shot - in which sense I understand, I think, what Christian B is driving at. The overall effect is that of a big polarised sky photo with a strip of dirt cut and pasted onto the bottom fifth.
I don't really mean that in a negative way - that may, after all, be just how the Palouse is, at times.
Reminds me of parts of New Mexico, or Wyoming in that respect. The sky's the star, so to speak - but often difficult to convey this in a little oblong box.
Regards
Colin

Serwus Adrian !
I like this kind of composition very much. The sky is just amazing. What i miss here is some point of reference, i just want to be sure that this space is wide open :) (at least @24mm).
Best wishes,
Mat
