Photographer’s Note

If my memory serves me right, this area along the Yarra River, popularly known as the South Bank was rather unattractive in the early 80's. My impression then was a place dominated by old and somewhat dull buildings. But today it is completely different, a rejuvenated urban area visited by almost every visitor to Melbourne. It is here that you find the Crown Casino and of course, the tallest building in the southern hemisphere and the 2nd tallest residential building in the world -- the 91-Storeyed Eureka Tower. It has 24 carat (100%) gold plated glass windows on the top 10 floors!

On this photo, it was taken on a fine winter(1st day of winter)afternoon with the sun behind me towards my right. A FL of 20mm resulted in some perspective distortion to the white spire(Art Gallery) and the Eureka Tower. I managed to correct this on the photoshop but have to crop out a bit on the rippled reflection in the FG.

Thanks for viewing and all critiques are welcome.

Regards
Alfred
