Photographer’s Note

It was april 2006. We just arrived Harshil, a few Km down Gangotri in the Garhwal Himalayas. We were greeted by a tremendous thunder storm. The temperature was freezing. The sky was as black as a new moon night. No doubt we were a bit frightened ( being with family including twoo little kids - the yonger one being only one and half years old). But as nature is, we suddenly got some glimpse of the sun. We got out of the rooms, under the sky. My friend was busy capturing the reflections of the sun on the snow peaks with his Nikon F2. I was left with a Sony handycam DCR-HC30E, I tried this still shot. This is the sun coming out of the whole lot of dark clouds to give us hope. I saw the relections of the sun and the clouds on the window glass. I realy loke the sun after such threatning weather, the colours it bring to the cloud, the sky, and of course to the mind and soul. As you can see to the extreme right of the picture, he frame of the window appears vertically. Just thought of sharing this with you all.
