Photographer’s Note

The silhouette of a rock climber in the early morning as we made our way on the ferrata to the staging point for rock climbing on the Panar Laban rockface of Mt. Kinabalu.

The Panar Laban rockface can become a hive of activities with the Via Ferrata Low's Peak Circuit, rock climbing and abseiling activities.

For those with geckos or Velcro hands and feet, the Panar Laban granite rockface has a 9 pitch route over a distance of 300m leading to Sayat Sayat at Km 7. The staging point is on a narrow ledge at the base of Panar Laban.

Hi Rabani,
This is the most exciting sillhouette I have seen lately.
Climbing is a very risky but joyful hobby.
The rope, his helmet, backpack... All details needed to recognize his silhouette as a climber... Btw is it camera hanging from his neck? That is another issue of jealousy, a photographer-climber!

Assalamualaikum Rabbani,
first of all I would like to thank you for visiting my post.You comments and guides help me alot. Indeed your photos are brilliant.
This one attracts me as it is very difficult to get such a pose. The contrast is great and the Bg tells story. It is something different from normal view. Composition is nice too.
I was once an outdoor man, climbing
( Kinabalu also we did ) and conoeing etc..and this one reminds me of my good ole days. Wish got those photos like this.

Great composition on the silhouette with climber and the rock face! and a beautiful view down below with such height!
brings back a lot of good memory when I was up there, also proud of our gunung, a true landmark of Sabah!
