Photographer’s Note

Lorsque la neige tombe par gros flocons collants, et que le vent tombe les laissant tomber verticalement par un caprice de la météo ou du terrain, on assiste en forêt au spectacle des arbres débordants de neige... En raquettes au Massif du Sud, on passait par des tunnels de neige entre les arbres, un milieu où tous les sons deviennent étouffés par les flocons.

When snow's falling by by humid snowflakes and the winds let them settle vertically through a stall or by mountain terrain, we can see in the forests trees overflowed by snow piles... While snowshoeing at the Massif du Sud, we were going under snow tunnels created under the trees, where all sound is buffered by the snowflakes.

Hi Bruno!
The only times I saw this was in Colorado Springs (CO/USA) back in 1983... and in Bariloche (Argentina) in august 2006!
We don't have snow in Brazil (at least this amount of snow). In the south, sometimes they have it, but not too much and it doesn't last long!
For me, it's always beautiful! I really like seeing it, including in this picture!

Hello Bruno,

Interesting to see this type of snow scenes at this time of the year. I do miss snow because of the beauty it give to landscapes, specially under blue a blue sky. Excellent image with one dominant colour. You also got good exposure being surrounded by all the white stuff. Thanks Bruno.

Hello Bruno,

Now that hot weather has arrived, this is a nice refreshing touch — a cold wind that I can feel coming out of my screen. In those last days of February, it must have been some snowfall. Good photograph, well composed, well exposed.

Hi Bruno!
It?s a very good exposure with fine details to view.I live in a part of Germany(the rhinevalley)where we don?t have much snow.To have a fantastic view like this I have to drive to the blackforest.But even there ,there was less snow the last few years,Global warming???
Anyway it?s a great winterimage.

graphique et epurée, une belle image qui ne nous rechauffe pas !!!
les lignes offertes par les troncs et les branches rassurent un peu l'oeil. c'est un autre monde.

A refreshing picture when the summer heat has started. There is really a lot of snow in this one and every time it snows here in Istanbul I love to go out and take pictures. But never so much snow as you show us here. The patterns are really beautiful.

j'adore ces arbres recouvert de neiges fraîches. C'est dommage qu'il manque une fuite ou une perspective, mais l'idée est bonne.

J'ai vécu un peu ceci le dernier WE,arbres enneigés et décor de rêve, digne récompense qui couronne l'effort pour se rendre au sommet.
Image sombre sous un ciel couvert, pas évident de donner de la vivacité dans ces conditions.
Je te souhaite une bonne fin de semaine.
