Photographer’s Note
It rained for the entire week that we were on the West Coast Trail (see description in my previous photo). Finally, one morning, the fog started to break, and rays of sunshine starting beaming down all around us through the giant old-growth trees above.
Just a slight colour adjustment made.

Good shot, you managed to capture the sunrays will which is sometimes a hard job to do.

I like the ray of light that comes through the trees but I think that it is a little bit overexposed.
This shot was not easy to take.

Beautiful picture under very difficult yet beautiful lighting conditions. Have seen this effect often, but never as strong as here.

Great Shot Mike!
Gotta love the westcoast weather! Hahaha
I really like the way you've captured the light rays coming through the trees, and managed to retain some of the greenery of the trees.
Very well done!
Look forward to seeing more of your West Coast Trail shots.
Cheers!

You really went to the edge of exposure resulting in a nice range of sunbeam lightening up the mist and spots on the greens. Very good work approaching the capacity of the eye, capable to cope with at least 5 times more contrast compared to a digital sensor.

This is another fine shot from you Mike. The light filtering through the trees does the magic here. You managed the light well here I must say.

Absolutely beautiful capture Mike! I've always wanted to get that "perfect" sunbeam photo...But everytime I try and then upload them into the computer, they don't look anything like I had hoped. You did very well here, truly beautiful. I'm jealous :)

There's a little sense of biblical to this morning scene. The fogs worked very well in getting the beams or rays, pretty obvious. Must be pretty cool and refreshing wakening up on a fresh new day in the forest, right Mike?

Very nicely done! you managed to capture the sunbeams and maintain the sharpness of the surround picture.

Wow - this is really magical. I can almost smell the pine and the soil underfoot. I really like the range between vits of the wood that are completely in the shade and the over exposed sky (which really adds to the photo).

Amazing shot! I really like this a lot, with those rays of light coming across the scene. I'm originally from Vancouver Island, so I've seen this kind of scene quite often, but I've never been able to successfully capture it. The trees and luxuriant foliage is also great. Superb!

Hi Mike.
Simply impressive light in the photo.
Also there is a good composition, but is a pity the white sky.
Perhaps a polarizer would be good here.
Regards.

Speaking about catching the sun!
This is some shot, Mike.
Well done. Details can still be seen, although the upper part is overexposed, but that is not a shame. CU, Erik
