Alykes beach

Ανεπτυγμένο παραθαλάσσιο παραθεριστικό κέντρο, σε απόσταση μόλις 5 χλμ. από το Βόλο, με καλή τουριστική υποδομή.

Η σημερινή πόλη είναι κτισμένη στη θέση των αρχαίων Παγασών και δια μέσου των αιώνων διατηρείται ο μύθος της ναυπήγησης της Αργώς με την οποία ο Ιάσονας και οι συντροφοί του ξεκίνησαν για την Αργοναυτική εκστρατεία με προορισμό την Κολχίδα στα παράλια της Μαύρης Θάλασσας, και κατόρθωσαν να αρπάξουν το Χρυσόμαλλο Δέρας και να το φέρουν πίσω στην Ιωλκό.

Στον λόφο “Σωρός”, λίγο έξω από τις Αλυκές, σώζονται λείψανα των Αρχαίων Παγασών και το ιερό του Απόλλωνα. Στις Αλυκές λειτουργεί οργανωμένη πλάζ του ΕΟΤ.

Νυκτερινά κέντρα, ουζερί, εστιατόρια,και μπαράκια δίπλα στη θάλασσα, προσφέρουν πλούσια νυκτερινή διασκέδαση και προσελκύουν χειμώνα καλοκαίρι πολλούς επισκέπτες, ντόπιους και περαστικούς.

Alikes (Nees Pagases) is a very structured village by the sea. It is 5km from Volos and is very open and organised for tourists. The village today is built on the same place as the ancient city Pagases.

Through centuries the legend still exists about Jason and the Argonauts, whom started their epic journey to Colhida in search for the Golden Fleece, and brought it back to the city of Iolkos.

On the hill of Soros, a little further out from Alikes, there are the ancient ruins of the city of Pagases, and the sanctuary of the God Apollo.

At Alikes, the E.O.T. operates an organised beach. Next to the sea you will find ouzeris (small tavernas for Ouzo and Greek dishes), restaurants, tavernas and bars, all offering a pleasant time to the tourists and travellers

Hello Constantino,
A very nice seascape with good balance and a well chosen point of view. I like how the eyes are taken from the parasol along the pier towards the cloud covered mountains. Good colours and clarity.

it's simply a beautiful place. Very good choice for this pov with the inclusion of the parasol and the pier. There is some interesting clouds formation and you knew how to control the exposure on that. Very good work, my friend!

Very nice POV, with great depth. I like specially the graphic arrangement and the clouds following the coast.
The hazy BG and the harsh sunlight make a little damage, but it is still a great and inviting image.
