This little boy looked veeery tired or maybe upset?
when he was sitting on his grandfather's knees.

But his face was looking really suprising
and i couldnt resist to take this shot.

this is a lovely shot - full of emotions
... but i'm not a fan of partial desaturation - i believe leaving it b/w would have been a better choice

anyhow, it's a lovely scene - thanks for sharing

Cze¶æ Paulina.
Bardzo interesuj±ce zdjêcie. Bardzo wymowny wzrok starca wybiega daleko w przysz³o¶æ, mo¿e po sam kres ¿ycia, natomiast dziecka jest bardziej obojêtny nie zdaj±cy sobie sprawy z tej wielkiej mi³o¶ci. Dwa ró¿ne spojrzenia na mi³o¶æ. Kolory niepotrzebne.

From a technical point of view, your shot is great!
Now, the expression of the boy is strange... I don't know if he is dreaming, sad, or what something else... I miss the joy of life in his eyes...

Nieporadnie moze ale najlepiej jak potrafi wyraza uczucia... a moze dzieciak sobie mysli "znowu dziadek mnie sciska" ;) a moze cos zlego sie stalo przed chwila... niezwykly moment

Hi Paulina,

Where the senses drift to it's reality, this image shows the paths... to it's hidden emotions.
I would say, this is BRAVE PRESENTATION with a painted tale of the kids emotional moods as well as portraying the concepts highlight of secured moods.
In it's total output, the image has a strong and powerfull eye that opens its brightness to the world.
Poetic... Painted.... Carved art !!

This is a really good picture! You have captured a great expression on the man's face which gives this pictures title more meaning. Also I like what you have done with the boys shoes and the toy in the background!

Hi Pelin, this is a wonderful shot full of interest. You have the contrast and the sharpness just about perfect. I don't agree with Dora - I think the little bits of colour are very clever, just to remind us that this is a modern-day shot, while at the same time the rest of the photo is almost from a previous time.

Zdjecie ma w sobie tyle samo piekna, ze chyba te czerwone i pomaranczowe elementy nie tylko nie sa potrzebne, ale klada akcent na elementy zbedne, plastikowe...Tutaj moc zdjecia jest w tej wielkiej milosci miedzypokoleniowej, i powinno ono byc calkowicie czarno-biale.
Ale nalezy Ci sie duza zielona, bo mloda jestes, a zdolna, i ciesze sie, ze ktos nowy dla mnie na TE robi zdjecia o ludziach i uczuciach...

Beautiful shot! The white sky beside the old man's head seems to create a little bit of a problem, but otherwise the mood is excellent. The soothing reassuring expression on the grandfather's face and the calm expression on the boy's face, showing that he knows he is safe now,.. all look great.

I agree so wholeheartedly with Dora here Paulina - without the partial de-sat treatment this would be in my favourites for sure - I can understand the colour but it is not for me - certainly not in an image which is so strong and well composed - really so good!!

Hello Paulina,
I've just roaming through your interesting gallery and decided to leave a few words here and there.
This one is one of my favorites in your gallery. The subject of the photo is very valuable. Both show an interesting expression in their face, though I could not name it exactly. The protecting pose of the old man, the young one in an attitude of abandon.
Personally, I'm not a fan of partial de-saturation. But I know it is a matter of taste.
I think the photo is over-sharpened. It is mostly visible in the grass.
Though I have a few reservations, I think it is a good one overall.
