Photographer’s Note
Back in 2004 I quit my job, sold my condo and most of stuff, packed up my truck, and drove across the country to Oregon...on an impulse. This was one of the first few beaches that I stopped when I drove up the coast from San Franscisco, through the Redwoods NP, and then into Oregon. The sea stacks were so beautiful, and the sky made for great perspective and contrast, so I knew I had myself the perfect monochrome candidate. I remember that some woman had an annoying little dog that wasn't on a leash, and it was running all around me and nipping at my boots. I was all worried that it was going to keep running through the glassy, wet sand foreground and ruin my shot. Well, it didn't, so I decided not to kick the little dog. Haha! ;)

Hi Stephen,
Composition is great, horizon at 1/3, and the rock on the right side gives nice dynamic.
The monochrome post-treatment is just excellent!
