Photographer’s Note
The sun provides the perfect spotlight for this accordion player. He was standing in a narrow and deeply shadowed street in Perugia. The sun was shining through a narrow gap between the old buildings. Exposure conditions were very difficult!

Hello Gunnar,
This is a superb shot - how fortunate to have the boy there - in just the right position!
Lovely textures in the wall behind the accordionist. The case for the instrument completes a triangle with the man and the boy to make a fine composition. Add to that the shaft of sunlight, and it makes a great image.
You have handled the exposure well - I can see how difficult it was with the great contrasts in light.
I'd like to try a WS on this image - just to give my ideas on what is already a fine photograph.
Regards,
Peter.

This one is great and inventive - and beautiful! I think you took this picture in a skillful way. It is somehow impressive ...
Greetings from cool but sunny southern Westphalia!

Hej Gunnar,
This is a fine observation and a well composed picture with a strong atmosphere. However, the light conditions seem to have been almost impossible. I would have liked to see the picture generally a shade darker and more saturated, because to my mind there is a certain greyness about it, the colors being slightly washed-out.

Hej Gunnar.
Very suitable title! Well exposed though it was a difficult light. Nice composition and a good crop (when comparing to the original).

Hello Gunnar,
A natural spotlight seems to illuminate the accordion player, and the young boy provides a perfect audience. This is a classic in composition and timing. The colors, textures and resolution all collaborate in making this a memorable photograph.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hej Gunnar,

Semplice, bela, poetica, parla tanto. Bravo!
