Photographer’s Note
This picture of an anti-poaching patrol scouring the tall grass for poachers or evidence of poaching was taken at the Kaziranga national park in northeast India.
The park is one of the great conservation success stories in the world - it holds the healthiest population of the one-horned rhino in its range. This was largely achieved due excellent anti-poaching efforts, sadly missing in most other parks of India and even within the state of Assam. Other wildlife such as tigers have inevitably benefited due to excellent protection.
These tall swamy, grasslands of the alluvial deposits of the Brahmaputra river, and adjacent forests in the uplands are among the richest ecosystems in India. Tourism is encouraged and its tourism infrastructure is very good.

hi ravi
this is indeed a shot of a very noble cause.
your choice of b&w aside, this shot is not bad. there isn't much detail though, maybe due to the desaturation. i'm going to include a workshop of this shot to show you how much better it would look if you took the time to do some postprocessing. hope it is to your satisfaction.
