August 2007, one of the very last images of beautiful Utah printed in my eyes & memory.
Having said that : no sweat. I'll be back out here in two and a half months...

Now, this is a great diversion if you are in the Bryce area.
From Bryce Canyon take 63 North and, once you get to the junction, 12 East.
A few miles will get you into Tropic Canyon. Stop at Mossy Cave Trail, that's the entrance to Water Canyon. A short hike along Tropic Ditch (0.5 miles or so) and you'll be there.
Tropic Ditch looks pretty natural but it's actually man-made and has run for over a century. Mormon farmers diverted water from the East Fork of the Sevier River near Tropic Reservoir to irrigate fields around Tropic City. These pioneers worked feverishly with primitive tools for 15 miles over three years to construct it.
Not too many people around here. Great views and a nice spot to chill out with your feet in cool running water and the usual few cold beers...

Ciao Friend,

this place is wonderful. Great nature, great capture! I like the square format and the well known good saturation from your fingers :) The blue sky is always a nice addition to these orange rocks. The pathway works perfectly for the invitation. Successful work, my friend!
Cheers,
Carlos

Hi fulvio,
Great shot here with your hallmark deep rich colors in a perfectly composed frame. Very well seen and TFS. Gerald

ciao, fulvio

movie title EVERYTHING ILLUMINATED comes to mind... of course, your picture has nothing to do with that movie, just the title... everything is perfectly luminous + the patented FULVIO's light... a crunchy photo, my friend. just the stuff i needed for breakfast. by the way, when are you buying that Utah ranch? kristine is getting restless... she wants to go to Utah NOW...

warmest regards,
kristaps

Ciao Fulvio!A picture of impressive canyon! The different corner that you used gives a dynamic and very good impression! with blue colour and viewing of indirect lighting of clouds in the sky it is the interest in the composition! Bravo!
Georgios

Hi, Fulvio -

OK, here we go again. ANOTHER gorgeous SW photo. Don't you have anything else to show us? Huh?

A very good composition, and the choice of square frame was a good one. I might have darkened the fins just a bit, is all.

Best,
Dan

PS: Do you know how Bryce Canyon got its name? From Ebenezer Bryce, who described it as "one hell of a place to lose a cow."

Wonderful shot!! a very interesting light and the perfect colors. TFS. Carme.

Hi Fulvio,

Splendid tones on spectacular ridges and on the cliffs. You perfectly merged green and beautiful cloudy sky with them. A great view from bottom, wonderful. Congratulations. Have a nice weekend.

Best Regards,

Ertugrul

Hallo Fulvio,

Prettig weekend,
John.

White in the fluffy clouds goes to pure (255,255,255) without being overexposed. Natural framing is appealing and there is plenty of things to look at in this composition. Color and overall lighting are good.

Ciao Fulvio,
Giorgio

Nicely done with the river leading our eyes into the image. Great DOF as we can see lots of detail in the pinnacles.
Well done.
Phil

Fulvio,
the composition is a very good one with the bending creek leading into the image and the framing of the whole scene with the tall pine tree to the left although it has a slight lens distortion element there, but nothing bad on a landscape shot anyway. It would be defintively a different level if this would be an architectural shot. The deep blue sky with popcorn like clouds are at its best an typical for the right use of a polarizing filter. I like the detail that there is a melting of clouds and the upper part of the hoodoos. That is really good.
Peter

You prepare me for my trip, get me ready to go, Fluvio! It is only 11 days away, YES YES YES. Something is brewing up in your sky, a litlle electric storm maybe later in the day but they still look rather harmless but it can change fast despite the blue sky. You can hardly see the water, it is all "same same" color but very vaguely I can see something reminding me of water down there. Very nice work. I would call it "fluviesc". I read your note where you will be going this year, and it is almost a 100% the same we did last year. I find Black Canyon of the Gunnison one of the most exciting parks I have been to in a long time. Not recommended with small children, it goes very deep down and I had my problems looking down. I made photos of course but I don't find them good enough to show really although they are not bad either. Go to both sides of the park (or have you been there before?). We were almost alone on one side (the one with no visitors center) and it was almost scary, just the wind and some birds sailing over the canyon. Have a good Sunday ... Barbara.

Fulvio, you have once again gotten to a place that I doubt I'll ever see for myself yet one never knows. Colors are fine and the contrast/sharpness is very nice. Can't wait to see what your next trip nets the TE community.

Greg

hi there, Don :)
there's something regal about the scene, and the way you have composed the photo certainly emphasises that. I like a lot how the low and upward looking point of view creates a feeling of a sweeping motion that takes you towards the fantastic rock formation and up in that gorgeous sky, superb effect.
any news about that ranch? :)

take care,
Kristine

Ciao, Fulvio,
I see another shot from those mighty rocks giving an almost surrealistic look to the place:)I this time liken the rocks to soldiers abreast
I also like the clouds. And the trees are well outstanding against the rocky BG.
TFS
Valerka:)

Hello Fulvio,
two are the most important elements of this picture; the saturated colours and the sharpness. The contrast between the rocks and the clouds is terrific! I suppose you used a polarizing filter in order to get such an amazing sky! The very good framing is an incontestable fact!

Kindest regards,
Athanasios.

Hi Fulvio,
prachtige foto. Mooie kleuren, sterke compositie en geweldige lucht.

Ciao Fulvio,
Bravo
Ludo
