Photographer’s Note
An early start to a long drive.
A dawn stop near Goroke in Victoria.
A 200 m drive off the road into a dry red-gum swamp to watch the dawn break the fog lingering amongst the trees.
A 300 mm zoom lens helps me peer into the far depths to see the sun burn the fog. Minutes later and it is all gone and the drive continues.

Amazing atmosphere in this picture. The 300mm lense probably adds to ther mysterious and intimate feel of the photo. Good job.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought WOW, now that I have opened the larger version of your photo I am still impressed, I thought I should ask for your permission to use your photo as a reference for a painting but I don't think I could do it justice! I have now had a look at your other photos and I like them all. TFS

Hi Barry, great light filtering through the very australian bush scene, especially the gum tree on the left - couldn't be anywhere else. Are you in Melbourne? If so you might be interested in joining a handful of us here next time we're meet. Last meeting was on the weekend just gone, and you can see the results, just select Victoria and anything taken around Point Cook is likely to be one of us. cheers, Steve
