The Salton Sea, located in the southeastern corner of California, is actually an inland saline lake which occupies a desert basin known as the Salton Sink. This body of water covers a surface area of 376 square miles (974 km˛), making it the largest lake in California. The Sea’s current elevation is about 227 feet below mean sea level.

Hello Agnieszka,

Very nice! Funny to read that this sea lays below sea level. Well, not surprising for someone living in the Netherlands, but not something I'd expect in California.

impressive colours and contrasted hues, the subject is simple, but finaly what is the subject, it's the colours ! and that is not usual to capture this so well

I've lived in southern California quite a few years now, and I've never managed to get to the Salton Sea for photography. This great shot really makes me want to go! (Well, not right now, it's probably 110 degrees.) It's very nicely composed, Agnieszka, with the placement of the sun and the foreground objects. Regards, Ken.
