[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a shot at the Fountain in Piazza della Rotonda in front of the Pantheon. I found the art and the light on this particular spot very attractive and this was the best shot. I was pretty happy with it considering I only had a small tripode to take the picture so.... not a lot of options for framing and certanly not for placing the camera.

The basin of the fountain was built by Pope Gregorius XIII. In 1711, during the pontificate of Pope Clemens XI, the architect Filippo Barigioni completed it by adding the obelisk. A reminder of Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers is the snake you can see on the right and in the background. The dolphins and the snake were sculpted by Vincenzo Felici.
The Piazza della Rotonda in front of the Pantheon, the heart of the Centro Storico, is a popular meeting place for all ages, particularly in the summer months. The pleasant cafes, bars and tea rooms which encircle the square and its fountain, create a lively atmosphere late into the night.

Hi Christian,

very good light management. I like your play with highlight/shadow controls. You made good use of the cold light coming from bottom to emphisise the details of the artwork. Successful photography. Great job!

Carlos

Hi Chris,

not easy to notice this detail in a so beautiful square. Very good idea, I like the effect created by the light coming from the bottom.

Hello Christian,

Both mystical and frightening, you've managed the light very well in the surpassing time exposure shot. The half-second shot makes the water stream even more continuous than it might appear otherwise, and yet the light and shadows, colors and resolution are all very natural. Well done,
Warm regards,

Bulent

Beautiful! I love the dramatic lighting here!! Regards, Doug
